How it works
Tick each person's cameras. Beside each speaker's name, tick every camera they appear in. PodSwitch works out the rest: a camera with one person is their single, two people a two-shot, everyone your wide.
Set the feel. Three sliders shape the edit: Pace, Wides and Other angles.
Press Go. vireo builds the timeline with every line on the right shot.
Adjust and Update. Move a slider and press Update: the switching changes on the same timeline, and any shot you've changed by hand stays as you set it.
Cuts an editor would make
Each cut lands in the breath before the next speaker's first word.
Quick back-and-forth holds on a shot that shows both people.
When people talk over each other, the shot widens to show everyone speaking.
Wides come in at the open, after long pauses and through the conversation, at a natural rhythm.
Long answers move to another angle at a natural pause.
Shot lengths vary, so the edit feels cut by hand.
