Free to install. Free to use. The AI is the part you pay for, and only if you want it.
vireo installs like any Adobe plugin. Quit Premiere first, or it will not see it.
Not showing up under Extensions? Quit Premiere completely and reopen it. Adobe only looks for new panels at launch.
vireo lite · the companion app
Send them vireo lite. It's free, it runs in the browser and needs no Premiere. They cut the story and send it back to you.
No account. No card. No expiry. These are yours the moment it installs.
Free, permanently
$29 a month, or $199 once
This sounds like a hurdle. It takes two minutes and it saves you money every month afterwards.
Most tools bundle the AI into the price, so you pay the same whether you use it once or a hundred times, and there is a margin on top of what it really costs. vireo does not do that. You connect your own key, the AI bills you directly for exactly what you used, and we never touch it.
You do not pay for what you do not use. A quiet month costs you nothing.
Google's Gemini has a free tier that needs no credit card at all. For a lot of editors that covers ordinary use outright.
The key is stored on your own computer and nowhere else. vireo talks to Google straight from your machine. We never see it, and we could not use it if we wanted to.
vireo also works with Anthropic Claude and OpenAI for story editing. Watching your b-roll needs Gemini, because it is the one that can actually look at footage.
Heavy b-roll analysis can run past the free tier's daily limit. Turning on billing in your Google account lifts it, and you still only pay for what you use.
There is a spending limit built into vireo. Set a daily ceiling and it refuses a request before it goes out, rather than telling you afterwards.
Mac only. Adobe Premiere 26.2 or later. Your own AI key needed.
